Our Mission

The mission of the Planning Department is to promote the general welfare of the City of Pasco by ensuring that all development activity follows the city's Comprehensive Plan, as well as the Subdivision Ordinance and Zoning Ordinance of the Municipal Code.

Services

The Planning Department is charged with overseeing state-mandated updates of the Comprehensive Plan, as well as acting in an advisory role to the Planning Commission on Municipal Code revisions.

The Planning Department also administers land-use related planning applications, oversees major Planning projects, and prepares reports for Planning Commission hearings, Historic Preservation Commission hearings, and Hearing Examiner reports.
