About Downtown Pasco
Our vision for Downtown Pasco is to create and foster a culturally diverse and economically vibrant neighborhood for businesses, residents, and visitors.
Downtown Pasco is home to just under 10,000 residents and 8,000 jobs and is a certified Main Street Community designated by the Washington State Trust for Historic Preservation. Our Downtown is home to some of our region's most culturally diverse businesses and several large employers nearby, including the Pasco School District, Lourdes Hospital, Franklin County Courthouse, and Pasco City Hall.
The neighborhood is within proximity to many public facilities and amenities, including Edgar Brown Stadium with a capacity of over 5,000 seats; Volunteer Park, a seven-acre park that serves as a gateway into Downtown, the Franklin County Historical Museum, which opened in 1911 as a Carnegie Library; and the Sacagawea Heritage Trail along the Columbia River connecting Pasco to our neighboring communities of Kennewick and Richland.
The Pasco Farmers Market and the Pasco Specialty Kitchen are also centrally located Downtown. The Pasco Specialty Kitchen is a certified commercial kitchen for local entrepreneurs. Established in 2003, our commercial incubator kitchen is certified by the Washington Health Department. The Pasco Farmers Market has been in operation since 1988 and attracts vendors from across the Pacific Northwest, featuring fresh, locally-grown fruits, vegetables, and more. The Market runs from May through October.
Plans and Projects for Downtown Pasco
Downtown Pasco Master Plan
The City of Pasco is working with Framework Cultural Placemaking for the development of our first Downtown Master Plan. The primary focus of this master plan is to improve the quality of life and business environment through identifying strategic investments, policies, and implementation steps to help foster a thriving Downtown.
Lewis Street Overpass
The Lewis Street Overpass project will join 2nd Avenue on the west to Oregon Ave on the east, and the construction of a 625-foot concrete overpass over the BNSF Railway yard and a 70-foot single-span structure over 1st Avenue. The project will provide a safe and important connection for the Central Business District and will include areas for safe walking and bicycling.

Lewis Street Corridor Improvements (2nd – 5th Avenue)
This project will improve the Lewis Street corridor between 2nd and 5th Avenues with improvements to the street, sidewalks, lighting, and landscaping.
