Rivershore Sewer Interceptor Upsizing, Phase 1

Project Status:

Project is currently in conceptual design.

Project Description:

This project includes upsizing approximately 9,100 LF of existing 30-inch and 36-inch diameter wastewater gravity mains with 54-inch diameter gravity mains from Road 72 to Road 28. The existing critical trunk line is located within USACE easements and is parallel to the Columbia River. Due to the continuous growth of our community, its remaining capacity is insufficient for projected demands. This project is recommended in the Comprehensive Sewer Plan and the Capital Improvement Plan and is identified as CSP#17, 20, and 21.

Project Benefits:

  • Provides increased sewer capacity for the City of Pasco customers during current and future demands.
  • Allows for continued growth in the City as expected population growth and commercial growth expands the sewer interceptor capacity demands.
  • Improves water quality for the Columbia River by minimizing infiltration/inflow and corrosion.
  • Upgrade aging infrastructure.
