[ARCHIVED] Join Us to Shape the Future of the MLK Community Center on March 16

Kurtzman Park

In a thrilling collaboration with Architects West, the City of Pasco is embarking on a visionary project to breathe new life into the historic Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK) Community Center. Since its inception in 1976 on South Wehe, the MLK Community Center has stood as a pivotal element of our community's fabric, offering essential services and fostering unity for nearly half a century.

This renovation venture seeks to celebrate the center's storied past while propelling it into the future with upgraded facilities tailored to meet the growing and diverse needs of our residents. Our shared vision encompasses not just a revitalization of the existing 22,000-square-foot space but an ambitious expansion to amplify its role as a dynamic center of community life for years to come.

In our commitment to ensuring the revamped MLK Community Center mirrors the wishes and dreams of the people of Pasco, we warmly invite you to participate in our Open House event on March 16, from 10 am to 3 pm at the MLK Jr Community Center. This gathering is a golden chance for you to voice your ideas, preferences, and hopes for the future of this cherished facility.

The makeover and enlargement of the MLK Community Center are integral to the City of Pasco's dedication to creating modern, welcoming spaces that enhance community bonds and engagement. Slated for completion in 2025, this project is a testament to our investment in the prosperity and well-being of Pasco's residents, promising access to premier recreational and social venues.

We encourage every member of our community to partake in the Open House, offering your valuable perspectives to shape a MLK Community Center that epitomizes the vibrant spirit and ambitions of Pasco.
