[ARCHIVED] City of Pasco Announces Over $6.7 Million in Grants for Overlay Projects

The City of Pasco proudly announces the awarding of two substantial grants totaling $6,766,000 under the National Highway System Asset Management Program for overlay projects on Ainsworth Avenue and Lewis Street. 

With $2,052,000 allocated for Ainsworth Avenue and $4,714,000 for Lewis Street, these funds signify a significant stride in the City's long-term infrastructure improvement plans. The grants are earmarked for comprehensive overlay work, highlighting the City's dedication to sustainable infrastructure maintenance and effective asset management. The overlay process is pivotal in extending the life and improving the functionality of these important roadways, reflecting the City's strategic commitment to cost-effective and durable infrastructure solutions. Alongside these enhancements, the projects will also include necessary updates for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), as part of the City's ongoing efforts to ensure accessibility and inclusivity in its infrastructure development. 

These projects, slated for construction in 2026, demonstrate the City of Pasco's proactive approach to managing and improving local infrastructure, a crucial responsibility in Washington State, where local agencies manage a significant portion of the National Highway System routes.
