[ARCHIVED] City of Pasco Announces Election of Mayor Pete Serrano and Mayor Pro-Tem David Milne

The City Council of Pasco has elected Pete Serrano as Mayor and David Milne as Mayor Pro-Tem. This election is part of the city's governance under the Council-Manager system.
Pete Serrano, serving on the City Council since 2017, brings a diverse background to his new role as Mayor. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Italian from the University of California, Davis, a Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law, and a Masters of Laws from Vermont School of Law. Professionally, Serrano works as an attorney for the United States Department of Energy in Richland and is an adjunct professor at Washington State University's Tri-Cities campus. He moved to Pasco in 2015 with his family and has been actively involved in the community.
David Milne, also elected in 2017 to the City Council, has a background in business and community service. He is the founder of Milne Nail Power Tool and Repair, a prominent tool store in southeastern Washington. His early experiences include volunteering in Germany and various community roles in Pasco. Milne is known for his involvement in local initiatives such as Sunrise Rotary and Pasco Youth Football.
The City of Pasco operates under a Council-Manager form of government as per Chapter 35.18 of the Revised Code of Washington. This form of government involves the City Council electing fellow Councilmembers as Mayor and Mayor Pro-Tem.
Mayor Serrano and Mayor Pro-Tem Milne will be focusing on addressing the needs and advancing the interests of the Pasco community.
