[ARCHIVED] City of Pasco Honors Veterans with Observance Ceremony; Offices to Close in Respect

City of Pasco Veterans Day 2023

The City of Pasco announces that all city offices will be closed on Friday, November 10th, in observance of Veterans Day, a time to honor those who have served our nation in military service. The observance continues into the weekend.

The City extends an open invitation to the community for a commemorative Veterans Day Event to be held on Saturday, November 11th, at 12:30 pm at the Pasco City View Cemetery, located at 1300 N. Oregon Ave, Pasco. The event will feature a ceremony to pay tribute to the brave men and women who have donned the uniform of our armed forces. “Our veterans have made significant sacrifices for the freedoms we enjoy,” said Dan Dotta, Public Facilities Manager. “It is with deep gratitude that we come together as a community to recognize and thank them for their service.”

Residents and visitors alike are encouraged to join city officials, local veterans, families, and military personnel in this special ceremony. The occasion provides an opportunity to express our collective appreciation for the veterans within our community and beyond.  In recognition of the day, the City of Pasco also encourages local businesses and residents to display the American flag and to participate in acts of kindness and thanks to veterans.

City operations will resume normal hours on Monday, November 13th.
