The Pasco City Council has scheduled to interview all six applicants for the District 6 seat, which will be vacated as of October 2 due to the resignation of Councilmember Craig Maloney.
The Council reviewed the applications during its meeting on September 25 and has scheduled interviews for Monday, October 2, starting at 6 p.m. After the interviews, a finalist is anticipated to be immediately selected, sworn in, and seated.
The applicants up for consideration are Calixto Hernandez, Jennifer Yaniz, Melissa Blasdel, Ana Ruiz Kennedy, Mark Dade, and Andrew Enriquez. The current term for District 6 is slated to expire on December 31, 2025.
Members of the public are encouraged to attend the interviews and other City Council meetings. The proceedings will be available for viewing on PSC-TV Channel 191 for Spectrum Cable subscribers in Pasco and Richland.
