[ARCHIVED] Applicants wanted for City Boards and Commissions

The Pasco City Council is calling on community-oriented residents interested in serving on various city boards and commissions, providing an opportunity to contribute to the development of the Cit

The Council encourages those with specific interests or expertise that could benefit the community to apply. 

Vacancies are available on the following boards:

  • The Arts & Culture Commission advises the Council on public art and culture affairs and has three positions open. Positions 3 and 4, expiring on Jan. 1, 2026, and Jan. 1, 2024, respectively, seek art professionals such as art directors, educators, administrators, dealers, or those studying in higher education art programs. Position 7, expiring on Jan. 1, 2024, is open to youth aged 15-20 connected to Pasco, either residing within city limits or attending a local school.
  • The Civic Service Commission (CSC) oversees unbiased hiring, promotion, and appointment processes within the Police and Fire Departments and has a vacancy for Position No. 2, with a term expiring on Feb. 17, 2028. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and Pasco residents.
  • The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board (PRAB) has an opening for Position No. 1, expiring on Feb. 2, 2026. The board advises the City Council on park and recreation programs, including those for senior citizens. Applicants should be Pasco residents.
  • The Pasco Public Facilities District (PPFD) Board has a vacancy for Position No. 1. The new term will run from July 15, 2023, through July 14, 2027. The PPFD Board manages regional public facilities and oversees the funding of an Aquatics Facility and Competition Pool. Applicants must be Pasco residents.
