[ARCHIVED] Kevin Crowley Selected as Pasco Fire Chief

Kevin Crowley

The City of Pasco is pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin Crowley as the new Pasco Fire Chief, effective July 3.

Pasco City Manager, Adam Lincoln, selected Crowley from five outstanding finalists for the Fire Chief position following the retirement of long-serving Chief Bob Gear at the end of May. Crowley will transition to Pasco from the Kennewick Fire Department, where he has accrued nearly a quarter-century of experience in various roles, most recently serving as Deputy Chief, a position he assumed after a competitive selection process.

The Pasco Fire Department, equipped with four operating stations and an upcoming fifth, also includes a training center and supplementary facilities. The Department provides emergency transport services with medics assigned to EMS response units while actively flexing firefighter/medics to fire response as needed. Currently, the Department employs 103 staff members.

Crowley's appointment follows a comprehensive national search conducted through the Western Fire Chiefs Association.

Lincoln commented on his choice, "Chief Crowley's understanding of regional fire service and his exceptional performance in the interview process distinguished him from a very competitive field of candidates. We eagerly anticipate Chief Crowley joining our team."

Upon his appointment, Crowley expressed his enthusiasm: "I am honored for the opportunity to serve as the Fire Chief and to work with a team of dedicated professionals committed to serving the Pasco community."

The City of Pasco continues to enhance the quality of community life and is proud to welcome Chief Crowley into this pivotal role.
