[ARCHIVED] Richa Sigdel Named Deputy City Manager of Pasco

The City of Pasco is pleased to announce the appointment of Richa Sigdel as the new Deputy City Manager, effective June 19. 

In her role within the City Manager's Office, Sigdel will provide crucial administrative oversight for the entire City organization. Her responsibilities will include ensuring the efficient delivery of municipal services in line with City Council policies and directives. 

Sigdel brings a wealth of experience to the position, having served as the City's Finance Director for over six years. During her tenure, she successfully revitalized the Finance Department and spearheaded numerous critical projects and initiatives within and outside the department. Her efforts resulted in substantial improvements for the entire organization. Sigdel's outstanding work in governmental budgeting and commitment to transparency earned the Finance Department multiple recognitions from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA). 

Beyond her work with the City, Sigdel possesses expertise in financial modeling and analysis, operational efficiency, complex accounting, and team building. Her ten-year tenure within the National Laboratory system included various positions in which she made valuable contributions. Sigdel holds a BA in Accounting and an MBA from Washington State University. 

City Manager Adam Lincoln expressed complete confidence in Sigdel's appointment, stating, "I firmly believe that Richa is the ideal candidate for the position of Deputy City Manager. She has consistently demonstrated strong leadership within our organization, exhibiting a collaborative and problem-solving approach. Under her guidance, the Finance Department has thrived, and I am confident that her accomplishments will now extend throughout the entire organization." 

Sigdel expressed her enthusiasm for the appointment, saying, "I am excited to work with the talented team of professionals, bring my skills, passion, and dedication to this position, and contribute to the continued growth and prosperity of this community. I am looking forward to dedicating myself wholeheartedly to fulfilling the responsibilities entrusted to me as Deputy City Manager." 

With Richa Sigdel assuming the role of Deputy City Manager, Pasco anticipates continued growth and progress under her capable leadership.
