Pasco Draft DT Plan

The City of Pasco and its consultant will hold a Meet & Greet and an Open House to hear from the public on the draft Downtown Pasco Master Plan on Tuesday, November 15, starting at 4:30 pm. The Meet & Greet will be from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm at Mercy's Pizza Taco, 524 N. 3rd Avenue, across from Pasco City Hall. Then from 5:45 pm to 7:00 pm, the Open House will be held in Council Chambers at City Hall, 525 N. 3rd Avenue.

The Meet & Greet and the Open House will provide an overview of the draft Plan, an opportunity for questions and comments from the public for City staff and consultants, and a way to connect with Downtown stakeholders.

The Downtown Master Plan is the first for the City of Pasco and is the culmination of a year's effort working with the community to develop the Plan. The Plan is a plan of action. It is focused on a vision, guided by goals, achieved in strategies, but realized through actions. This Plan of action makes the connections that lead toward implementing the Pasco community's vision for their Downtown.

The vision for Downtown is focused on four major themes:

  • A lively and authentic downtown
  • A district showcasing history
  • New connections to the river
  • A place for all ages to enjoy

Four goals support the vision:

  • Active and Safe Streets and Public Spaces for All
  • Substantial Private Sector Investment
  • A Downtown that reflects Pasco's History, People, and Culture
  • Robust and Collaborative Downtown Management

"We hope to get more feedback from the community on the Master Plan," said Pasco Planning Manager Jacob Gonzalez. "We had several participants at the webinar last month, and we want to hear from everyone interested in the future of Downtown Pasco."

The draft Plan is available for review via this link

The Plan will be recommended by the Planning Commission and then to the City Council for consideration for final adoption in the coming months.

The City of Pasco strives to continue improving the quality of community life in Pasco.
