The Pasco City Council will hold two sessions where members of the public can comment on the City’s draft Council Redistricting Plan.
As part of the federal consent decree changing how City Councilmembers were elected in 2017 and to comply with the federal and state Voting Rights Acts, the City re-draws Council district boundaries based on the U.S. Census done every ten years.
The two public comment opportunities are:
- Wednesday, November 2, at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers in City Hall, 525 North 3rd Avenue.
- Monday, November 7, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers in City Hall, as part of the Council’s Regular Meeting.
The public is invited to attend one or both of the comment sessions and present oral or written comments regarding the draft Redistricting Plan.
The draft Redistricting Plan, related documents, and an online comment form are on the City of Pasco’s at www.pasco-wa.gov/redistricting.
The City of Pasco strives to continue improving the quality of community life in Pasco.
