[ARCHIVED] City Council Appoints Adam Lincoln as Interim City Manager

Lincoln Swearing In

At the October 24 Special Meeting, the Pasco City Council appointed Deputy City Manager Adam Lincoln as Interim City Manager as of November 1.

With the retirement of City Manager Dave Zabell at the end of October, the Council needed to appoint an Interim City Manager until a permanent successor to Zabell is named.

Lincoln currently serves as the City's Deputy City Manager. Before coming to the City in 2020, Lincoln was the City of Pullman's City Administrator. Before Pullman, Lincoln was the Assistant to the City Manager for the City of Lakewood. For over a decade, Lincoln has worked at the federal, state, and local levels of government. Lincoln is active within the city management profession and belongs to several municipal management organizations. He earned his MPA from the University of Washington Evans School of Governance and Public Policy and his BA from Western Washington University.

After his swearing-in at the Special Meeting, Lincoln told the City Council, "I really appreciate the opportunity and look forward to working with you all in the interim."

The City Council is in the midst of recruiting for Zabell's successor; a public "meet and greet" event for the announced candidates for City Manager is planned for mid-November, with the City Council to consider a decision on the candidates shortly after that.

The City of Pasco strives to continue improving the quality of community life in Pasco.
