[ARCHIVED] Draft Downtown Master Plan Webinar, Wednesday, October 5, 6:30 pm

The City of Pasco and its consultant will be holding a webinar to hear from the public on the draft Downtown Pasco Master Plan on Wednesday, October 5. 

The Downtown Master Plan is the first for the City of Pasco and is the culmination of a year's effort working with the community to develop the plan. The Plan is a plan of action. It is focused by a vision, guided by goals, achieved in strategies, but realized through actions. This plan of action makes the connections that lead toward implementing the Pasco community's vision for their Downtown. 

The vision for Downtown is focused on four major themes: 

  • A lively and authentic downtown
  • A district showcasing history
  • New connections to the river
  • A place for all ages to enjoy 

Four goals support the vision:

  • Active and Safe Streets and Public Spaces for All
  • Substantial Private Sector Investment
  • A Downtown that reflects Pasco's History, People, and Culture
  • Robust and Collaborative Downtown Management 

"We hope to get a lot of feedback from the community on the Master Plan," said Pasco Planning Manager Jacob Gonzalez. "The City and our consultant are engaging in a robust outreach effort to hear from all stakeholders and everyone interested in Downtown Pasco."

The webinar will provide an overview of the plan and an opportunity for questions and comments from the public An in-person meeting with downtown businesses and property owners is also planned soon. Please check the website for more information. 

The plan will be recommended by the Planning Commission and then to the City Council for consideration for adoption in the coming months.
