The City of Pasco, along with its consultant, Framework Cultural Placemaking, will be holding a Visioning Workshop on Wednesday, December 15, at 6 pm as part of the development of the Downtown Master Plan. The Workshop will be held at Salon Santa Cruz, 117 S. 5th Avenue, in Downtown Pasco. The primary focus of this Downtown Master Plan is to improve the quality of life and business environment through identifying strategic investments, policies, and implementation steps to help foster a thriving Downtown, and public input is a critical part of the plan. The Workshop is one of the ways the public can share ideas and help shape a community vision for Downtown Pasco.

"Downtown Pasco already has so many strengths with so many opportunities, and we want to hear from the community on their ideas and how the City can facilitate more investment and growth through the Downtown Master Plan," said Planning Manager Jacob Gonzalez. "This Plan cannot be completed without a lot of public involvement, so we are hoping to learn from and listen to as many community members as possible at the Workshop," he added.

The City has been busy already in Downtown Pasco with the near completion of the renovations at Peanuts Park and the Farmer's Market and the ongoing construction of the Lewis Street Overpass. These projects and other public and private efforts will lead to more significant investment in Downtown Pasco. Having a Master Plan to unify the vision for the area better will benefit all the Pasco community.
