[ARCHIVED] Emergency Utility and Rental Assistance

Finances

The City of Pasco, Franklin PUD, and BDI have partnered to help our customers (residential and business) with their utilities who have been financially impacted by Covid-19. ARPA funds are available to our customers within Pasco city limits that meet the program guidelines and certify financial hardship.

Also, The Tri-Cities HOME Consortium (the Cities of Kennewick, Pasco, and Richland) has awarded $700,000 to Benton Franklin Community Action Committee (CAC) to administer an emergency, short-term, tenant-based Rental Assistance Program helping low income-qualified families and individuals living in Kennewick, Pasco, or Richland who are experiencing financial hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic with rent and utility assistance. The program will provide past-due and/or upcoming rent and utility, per qualifying household. Payment will be made directly to the household’s provider.

Pasco businesses affected financially by the COVID-19 pandemic may be eligible for up to $30,000 in grant assistance through the American Rescue Plan. The Pasco Chamber of Commerce will administer the assistance grants. The applications are open until September 16.

Franklin County is also providing assistance, in cooperation with Benton County, for residents.
