[ARCHIVED] January 27 Pasco City Council Workshop Recap

City Council Chambers

The Pasco City Council, in the Workshop Meeting of January 27, had a light agenda with only two items of discussion:

  • The first item was a presentation and report by the Pasco School District on the update for the District’s Capital Facilities Plan, which includes the collection of school impact fees on new home construction in the City. The District is requesting that the City continue collecting the same amount of impact fees on new home construction of $4,700 per new home and $4,525 per multi-family unit. The City has been collecting these fees for the District since 2012.
  • The second item was a report from the City’s Community & Economic Development Department on proposed updates on Planned Unit Development regulations. Planned Unit Developments can include a variety of housing types and are often maintained by a homeowner’s association. In addition to the housing types, a benefit of PUDs is that they provide additional community amenities such as open space, parks, and gathering spaces for the homeowners within the development.
