RESERVE A PICNIC SHELTER: Reserve a picnic shelter today and enjoy the day at one of your local Pasco Parks. You can check availability and reserve your shelter online at www.pascoparksandrec.com OR you can come into the recreation office located at 525 N. 3rd Ave., Pasco.

SEPTEMBER-DECEMBER RECREATION GUIDE NOW AVAILABLE! Check out all the events and programs happening this fall in the Sept – Dec Pasco Recreation Program Guide. Available online at www.pascoparksandrec.com or on shelves at one of the following locations: Pasco City Hall, Pasco 1st Avenue Center, Martin Luther King Center, Pasco Memorial Pool & Aquatic Park, both Pasco branches of the Mid-Columbia Libraries, and SuperMex.

LAMPSON CABLE BRIDGE RUN 2017 – EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION NOW OPEN! Early bird Registration is now open for the 2017 Lampson Cable Bridge Run. TONS OF TRUCKS & FIERY FOODS FEST: Bring the kids to downtown Pasco and let their imaginations go wild as they explore and discover trucks and vehicles of all shapes and sizes. ELEMENTARY BALLET: Introduce your child to the wonderful world of ballet!  Students will learn the basics of proper ballet technique while having fun turning and leaping across the floor.  This introductory rate will be credited toward class tuition for participants who wish to continue for the full term of the class.  Full term details are available at the dance studio. DROP-IN VOLLEYBALL: A fun, informal way for adults to participate in the sport of volleyball. Players will be randomly placed on teams. Come out and make some friends as you exercise and have fun at the same time. No one under 18 years of age allowed on site. SEWING WITH MARCY: Whether you are a beginner or a more advanced student looking to improve your skills, this class will help you to become more accomplished in your sewing skills. Students must provide their own supplies and bring their own sewing machines to class. Adult Co-Ed Volleyball Spring League - Competitive: This is a 6 week season that begins on September 20, 7pm. Play will include a Reverse Coed 4 on 4 competitive league on Tuesdays.  There will be a roster available for players to sign the ­first night of play with a maximum of 12 players allowed per team.  FINAL REGISTRATION DEADLINE: September 13, 2017, 5:00 pm;    AGES: Adults;    FEE: $190 per team;    PROGRAM #: F212

 

ADULT FLAG FOOTBALL: *HURRY!! This program is nearly full* This 13th year program will allow you to get in shape, socialize, meet new people and have fun. Interested players should be forming teams. MEN’S FALL SOFTBALL LEAGUE: Pasco Recreation Services will be offering a Men’s Fall League. This will be a 5 week 10 game season.  The league is for class E and Rec.Men's  teams. Games will be played on either Monday or Tuesday; make your request at check-out. COED FALL SOFTBALL LEAGUE: Pasco Recreation Services will be offering a CoEd Fall League.  This is a 5 week, 10 game season, for teams wanting to continue their softball season.  Games will be on Wednesday evenings. AGES: 18+; DAY/DATE/TIME: Wednesdays, September 13-October 11, 7-10 pm; LOCATION: Pasco Sporting Complex, 6520 Home Run Rd, Pasco;    FEE: $200/team    CLASS #: F510; DEADLINE: September 12, 2017 – 11:59pm

ENHANCE FITNESS: An exercise program designed for mature individuals, focusing on stretching, flexibility, balance, low impact aerobics and strength training. This class is held on Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays at the City Hall Activity Center Gym. You may pay the drop-in rate or sign up for a month at a time! WAVEMAKERS AQUA FIT: This warm water exercise program offered by Oasis Physical Therapy is the class you’ve been looking for. If you suffer from arthritis, low back pain, muscle weakness or other aliments then why not try this warm water course! Various session days and times available! FOOT CARE FOR ADULTS: This program is designed to provide preventative maintenance and education to Franklin County and Burbank residents who are 60 years of age and older. Care is provided by a Registered Nurse. If an abnormality is detected, you will be referred to your physician or other social services organization. Call 509 545-3459 to see if you qualify for this program.   AGES: 60 and older;    DAY/DATE/TIME: Day/Date/Time Vary Call for appointment days and times;    LOCATION: Pasco 1st Avenue Center;    FEE: Free! (Donation accepted);  NOTE: Funds for the Franklin County and Burbank Foot Care program are administered by Southeast Washington Aging and Long Term Care. Those that do not qualify for this program may choose to participate in our fee based program, call the Pasco Senior Center at 509 545-3459 for more info.

MEALS ON WHEELS LUNCHES: Enjoy a delicious lunch. Reservations are required 24 hours in advance and may be made by calling 509-543-5706. DAYS/TIME: Monday – Friday, 11:45am – 12:45pm , Closed September 4;   LOCATION: 1st Avenue Center, 505 N. 1st Ave., Pasco, WA; FEE: $7.30 per meal for ages 18-59, $2.75 suggested donation for ages 60+ .

HAPPY FEET - Free Foot Care (Donations Accepted)!: If you reside in Franklin County or Burbank and are over the age of 60 you might qualify for free foot care. (This program is funded by SE Washington Aging and Longer Term Care and Participant Donations). If you do not qualify for the HAPPY FEET Free Foot Care Program not to worry, we also have a Foot Care for Adults (Ages 18+) Program, Cost is $30.  For information on either program please call (509) 545-3459 for more information.
