SUMMER CONCERT SERIES: Come join us on Thursdays throughout the summer from 6:30-8:00pm for some evening music in the park. GRAND OLD 4TH CELEBRATION: Come celebrate our nation's independence! On the morning of the 4th join us at Memorial Park for the Annual Kiwanis Breakfast (7:00am), followed by the Pre-parade Kid's Street dance (9:15am) and then stay and watch as Hapo's Grand Old 4th Parade passes by(10:00am). After the parade come watch the homemade boats, made from recyclables race across Memorial Pool in the Cardboard Regatta. In the evening the celebration continues at Gesa Stadium with an amazing fireworks show. Gates open at 8:30pm, fireworks start at 10:00pm. Hope to see you all there!
SECOND ANNUAL CARDBOARD REGATTA: Aspiring boaters and engineers, or those that just want to have some fun, put your creativity in gear, collect your cardboard and recyclables and start building your boat for this year’s cardboard regatta! This is an exciting and literal sink or swim event. Participants must build a boat with cardboard, duct tape, and recyclable material that holds 2-6 people and then race them across Memorial Pool. Will you be the winner this year? Or will your boat win this years “Titanic” Award? DAY/DATE/TIME: Monday, July 4, 12:00noon; LOCATION: Memorial Pool (1520 W. SWIM LESSON SESSION #2: Summer is here so its time to sign your child up for swim lessons! Registration for session #2 begins June 30 for Pasco Residents and July 1 for all others. MEMORIAL POOL & AQUATIC PARK SEASON PASSES! Even though Memorial Pool and Aquatic Park is not yet open, summer is just around the corner and it is not to early to purchase your season pass. For a summer of fun enjoying the waterslides, kid’s pool, spray park, diving board, lap pool and more, stop by the Recreation Services Offices located in Pasco City Hall to purchase your pass today. RENT MEMORIAL POOL: If you have a large group (school, club, church, reunion, etc.) you may want to rent the whole facility and have Memorial Pool to yourselves. USTA FAMILY FRIENDLY TENNIS .The USTA Family Friendly Tennis program runs throughout the summertime. Family members of all ages and generations are welcome to join. It's even great for four friends who just want to play tennis together.Sessions go for 90 minutes and are held on tennis courts at local parks. FOOT CARE FOR ADULTS: This program is designed to provide preventative maintenance and education to Franklin County and Burbank residents who are 60 years of age and older. Care is provided by a Registered Nurse. If an abnormality is detected, you will be referred to your physician or other social services organization. (This program is funded by SE Washington Aging and Longer Term Care and Participant Donations). If you do not qualify for the HAPPY FEET Free Foot Care Program not to worry, we also have a Foot Care for Adults (Ages 18+) Program, Cost is $30.
