NEW PLAYGROUNDS COMING SOON! – New over the next few weeks both Volunteer and Kurtzman park will be receiving new playgrounds and swing sets. These playgrounds will feature pour-in-place fall protection and new challenges and adventures for children. So stay tuned and then come visit the new playgrounds when they are finished.

SWEETEST DADDY-DAUGHTER PROM EARLY REGISTRATION DEADLINE THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 24: Avoid the $5 late fee, sign up today for the Sweetest Daddy-Daughter Prom. This first Annual Event will take place the evening of Saturday, October 10th from 7:00-9:00pm and is a wonderful way to celebrate sweetest little girl(s) in your life and spend a special evening with them. Each girl will receive a professional photo from Dorian Photography and a goodie bag. Register online at www.pascoparksandrec.com under All Age Programs & Events, Class # F322.

- SPECIAL EVENTS & ALL AGE PROGRAMS -

ALL SENIOR PICNIC: Mark your calendars and make plans to join us at the Southridge Sports Pavilion in south Kennewick on Thursday September 17 for the 22nd Annual Senior Picnic. This is one of the largest and most anticipated events of the year for senior citizens, their friends, and family. Enjoy fantastic entertainment, great food, prizes, vendor booths and much more. Buttons can be purchased at the Pasco and Kennewick Senior Centers and at the Richland Community Center. Watch for posters and flyers throughout the Tri-Cities area. WHITMAN MISSION AND TAMASTSLIKT MUSEUM: Learn the history of the Whitman Mission as it commemorates the Whitmans, the role they played in establishing the Oregon Trail, and the challenges encountered when two cultures meet. We will have lunch in Walla Walla, then travel to Pendleton and explore the Tamastslikt Cultural Institute. Tamastslikt has a temporary exhibit "Alcatraz: Life on the Rock” as well as lots of interactive exhibits on Native Americans. Finally, we will enjoy dinner at Sundown Bar and Grill in Pendleton. (Trip fee includes transportation by van, admission fees, and dinner. Lunch fee not included. SENIOR CENTER: Looking for a place to get out of the house, meet and socialize with others? Come to the Pasco Senior Center, we have all kinds of stuff to do, including billiards, pinochle, dominos, china painting, computer lab, wood carving and more! Open Monday thru Friday 8 am to 5 pm. The Pasco Senior Center is located at 1315 N. 7th Ave. in Pasco.

HAPPY FEET - Free Foot Care (Donations Accepted)!: If you reside in Franklin County or Burbank and are over the age of 60 you might qualify for free foot care. (This program is funded by SE Washington Aging and Longer Term Care and Participant Donations). If you do not qualify for the HAPPY FEET Free Foot Care Program not to worry, we also have a Foot Care for Adults (Ages 18+) Program, Cost is $30.
