- ANNOUNCEMENTS -

YOUTH FREE SWIM FRIDAY AT MEMORIAL AQUATIC CENTER (Sponsored by Apple Valley Dental)! During the 1:00 – 4:30pm session on Fridays from June 26 – August 28 TWO (2) KIDS will get in FREE WITH each PAID ADULT admission. Hope to see you there!

- SPECIAL EVENTS & ALL AGE PROGRAMS -

GIGS AT THE GAZEBO (A Music Series in Volunteer Park): Bring the entire family out for a laid-back and enjoyable evening in Volunteer Park on Thursdays from June 25 through July 16. Starting at 6:00pm there will be food available for purchase from local food trucks such as Backyard Grub and Kings of Hotdogs. The music will then start at 6:30pm. So come and enjoy the evening in Volunteer Park this Thursday, July 2 as we listen to the Bahuru Marimba Band. Hope to see your there!

GRAND OLD 4TH CELEBRATION: Come celebrate our nation's independence! On the morning of the 4th join us at Memorial Park for the Pre-parade Kid's Street dance at 9:15am and then stay and watch as Hapo's Grand Old 4th Parade passes by. On the evening of the 4th continue the celebration at Gesa Stadium with an amazing fireworks show. Gates open at 8:30pm, fireworks start at 10:00pm.

CARDBOARD REGATTA: Challenge your design and creativity skills! Design a boat out of cardboard, recyclables, and duct tape. Then compete against other boaters across Memorial Pool. All participants must wear a US Coast Guard certified life jacket.
• Materials to be used - Cardboard, duct tape, recyclables (for example: CRV beverage bottles, milk jugs, paper towel & toilet paper tubes, etc.). Wood is not allowed as a material.
• Logistics - Boats can be dropped off at Memorial Pool the morning of the race between 8am – 9:30 am. Lifeguards will be used to help stabilize boats as kids get in and standby to assist if boat sinks. Boaters must wear a US Coast Guard approved lifejacket. Boaters must provide their own lifejacket. Races will be held across the width of Memorial Pool in the 5’ to 6’6” depth.
• Boaters must use paddles to move boat across the water. Make your own paddles. Store bought paddles are not allowed. Boats must hold a minimum of two people and a maximum of six people.

SWIM LESSON SESSION #3: Come learn how to swim at Memorial Pool. Registration Begins July 9 for Pasco Residents and July 10 for all others.

SEASON PASSES NOW AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE! Buy your Memorial Pool season passes today, available at the Parks and Recreation office. Pass holders receive $5 discount on swim lessons throughout the summer and they will have their own check-in line during open swim sessions! TODDLER SHORT SPORTS: This program is an exciting introduction to a variety of sports for your 2 ½ to 4 year old. During this class children will be introduced to soccer, t-ball, volleyball, basketball, and more!

COED YOUTH FUTSAL (Indoor Soccer): This recreational league is a great opportunity for boys and girls ages 6-11 to meet new friends, stay active, and participate on a team. Practices and games will take place on the same day. Participants must provide their own shin guards and gym shoes. KAYAK TOUR AND DINNER AT ANTHONY’S RESTAURANT: Enjoy a relaxing afternoon on the Columbia River as we paddle downstream from Leslie Groves Park to Columbia Point Park. We will dock our kayaks and have a wonderful 4 course dinner at Anthony’s Home Port Restaurant! Directions and a detailed itinerary will be received during registration. Trip includes kayak, shuttle, equipment, guides, dinner, and gratuity. Tour fills quickly, register early! YAKIMA DELTA KAYAK EVENT CACHE: Let's have a social on the water! It's a get-together at the boat launch next to Wye Park. Bring your kayak (or rent one from us if you need one). We will paddle around the Yakima Delta and see what kind of nature we can find, as this area is home to a variety of water fowl and four-legged animals. - SENIOR CENTER -

SENIOR CENTER: Looking for a place to get out of the house, meet and socialize with others? Come to the Pasco Senior Center, we have all kinds of stuff to do, including billiards, pinochle, dominos, china painting, computer lab, wood carving and more! Open Monday thru Friday 8 am to 5 pm. The Pasco Senior Center is located at 1315 N. 7th Ave. in Pasco.

HAPPY FEET - Free Foot Care (Donations Accepted)!: If you reside in Franklin County or Burbank and are over the age of 60 you might qualify for free foot care. (This program is funded by SE Washington Aging and Longer Term Care and Participant Donations). If you do not qualify for the HAPPY FEET Free Foot Care Program not to worry, we also have a Foot Care for Adults (Ages 18+) Program, Cost is $30.
