- SPECIAL EVENTS & ALL AGE PROGRAMS -

SELFIES IN THE PARK CONTEST (Sponsored by the Pasco Farmer’s Market, Pasco Specialty Kitchen, and the downtown Pasco Development Authority)! Only 4 easy steps to participate:
1. At the beginning of each month (May – August) go online and look at the photo of the current month’s object to be found.
2. Visit City of Pasco’s Parks to find the object.
3. Take a selfie with the object (all photos must be family friendly and of good taste.)
4. Send the Selfie photo to recreation@pasco-wa.gov with your name and phone number to be entered into the end of season drawing (on September 1) to win an awesome gift basket from the contest sponsors and a $25 gift card to the Pasco Farmers Market! Each object you find gives you another entry into the drawing!

COMMUNITY RESOURCE FAIR – Pasco Recreation Services will be participating in the Community Resource Fair held on Thursday, May 14 from 6:30pm to 8:00pm at the Pasco Boys & Girls Club located at 801 N. 18th Ave. in Pasco. So come out and discover what Pasco Recreation Services and other Community Agency have to offer!

BIKE FAIR – Did you know that Pasco Recreation Services is a Helmet Distribution Site for the Benton-Franklin Safe Kids Coalition? You can discover this and much more, regarding resources available to bicyclists in the greater Tri-cities, at the 2015 Bike Fair to be held on Saturday, May 16 from 10:30am - 12:30pm at Howard Amon Park in Richland. Pasco Recreation Services will be just one of the many organizations at the Fair.

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM: The City Hall Activity Center is open year-round for structured activities. Parents must pre-register their child at the Recreation office in City Hall or online. AGES/DAYS/TIMES: Age 7-12 = M,T,TH,F: 3:45 – 5:30pm, W: 2:00 – 4:30pm; LOCATION: City Hall Activity Center, 525 N. Third Ave., Pasco, WA 99301; FEE: Free! PROGRAM #: #S416

JUNIOR GOLF LESSONS: Lessons are designed for beginners. Lessons will be taught by PGA certified instructors. Skills covered include grip, stance, and posture for each type of swing. Clubs and balls provided if needed; AGE: 6-15; DAY/DATE/TIME: Wednesdays, 5/6-5/27/2015, 5:00-5:45pm; FEE: $40 (Pasco Resident), $50 (Non-Resident); CLASS #: S542

AFTER SCHOOL DROP-IN PROGRAM: The City Hall Activity Center is open year-round for structured sports and activities. - ADULT PROGRAMS –

ENHANCE FITNESS: An exercise program designed for mature individuals, focusing on stretching, flexibility, balance, low impact aerobics and strength training. This class is held on Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays at the Pasco Senior Center. Sign up for a month at a time! Call 509 545-3459 or stop by the Senior Center for a visit at 1315 N. 7th Ave., Pasco. RITMO LATINO FOR ADULTS: Latin Rhythms! Explore the lively and vigorous social dance of Latin America and other countries with the Kalliflorico Dance Company. This is a fun and exciting new program. Class is being offered on Wednesdays. AGES: 16+; DAY/DATE/TIME: Wednesdays, 5/6 – 5/27/2015, 6:00 - 7:00pm; LOCATION: Pasco Senior Center; FEE: $20 (Pasco Resident), $25 (Non-Resident); CLASS #: S305;

DROP IN VOLLEYBALL: A fun, informal way for adults to participate in the sport of volleyball. Players will be randomly placed on teams. Come out and make some friends as you exercise and have fun at the same time. No one under 18 years of age allowed on site. No play April 2 due to Spring Break. DAY/DATES: Thursdays, 7:00 pm – 9:30 pm Through May 14; AGES: Adults; FEE: $2 per person/per evening; LOCATION: McLoughlin Middle School gymnasium, 2803 Rd. 88, Pasco;


- SENIOR CENTER -

SENIOR CENTER: Looking for a place to get out of the house, meet and socialize with others? Come to the Pasco Senior Center, we have all kinds of stuff to do, including billiards, pinochle, dominos, china painting, computer lab, wood carving and more! Open Monday thru Friday 8 am to 5 pm. The Pasco Senior Center is located at 1315 N. 7th Ave. in Pasco.

SENIOR CENTER BUILDING RENTALS: Looking for a great place to host your next event call the Pasco Senior Center at (509) 545-3459 for more information. We rent large and small rooms for meetings, parties or receptions.

HAPPY FEET - Free Foot Care (Donations Accepted)!: If you reside in Franklin County or Burbank and are over the age of 60 you might qualify for free foot care. (This program is funded by SE Washington Aging and Longer Term Care and Participant Donations). If you do not qualify for the HAPPY FEET Free Foot Care Program not to worry, we also have a Foot Care for Adults (Ages 18+) Program, Cost is $30.
