Public Works (Road Work & Traffic)

[ARCHIVED] Pasco Construction Projects

A number of Public Works projects will be commencing this week, with some traffic impacts. Areas affected include:

5th Avenue & “A” Street/Columbia Street area: Beginning today, crews will be trenching “A” Street for sewer relining, with additional work along 5th Avenue between “A” Street and Columbia Street. Expect lane restrictions on “A” Street and 5th Avenue. All construction in this area should be completed by August 23.

Road 44: Sewer relining along Road 44 will begin on today, with lane closures at Road 44 and Court today and tomorrow. Construction should be completed on Road 44 by September 13.

20th Avenue Stormwater System Repair: Beginning Monday, August 19th through September 16th, crews will be repairing the stormwater system catch basins along 20th Avenue. Upgrades to sidewalk ramps will also be completed. 20th Avenue near the Red Lion Hotel, and the intersections of 20th & Pearl Street and 20th & Yakima Street will be affected. Expect lane closures during the construction.

With all these projects, motorists are urged to slow down in construction areas and be alert for lane restrictions, construction equipment, and most of all, workers.
