When Pasco Fire Captain Pat Hendrickson started a long career of service to the City in October of 1975 as a firefighter, Pasco had a population of 15,000. Over 36 years later, the City has grown to over 60,000, and Captain Hendrickson’s career has also followed a similar upward path with promotions to Lieutenant in 1979 and Captain in 1983.
That 36 year career reached a climax when Captain Hendrickson announced that he was going to retire from public service. His last day on the job will be July 31.
The public is invited to attend a celebration reception for Captain Hendrickson to be held Monday, July 30th, from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. in the Parks and Recreation Classroom in Pasco City Hall at 525 N. 3rd Avenue. Congratulatory remarks highlighting Captain Hendrickson’s service to the community will begin at 4:00 p.m.
The City of Pasco strives to continue improving the quality of life in the community.
