Program Mission

The Pasco Fire Department will provide confined space technical rescue services within the City of Pasco city limits and/or within existing auto/mutual aid boundaries, and individual contractors as defined by NFPA 1006 – Standard for Technical Rescuer Professional Qualifications, 2013 edition, and NFPA 1670 – Standard on Operations and Training for Technical Search and Rescue Incidents, 2014 edition.

Program Objectives

The primary goal is to develop a focused preparedness and response program for confined space rescue related incidents. Ideally the program will consist of community education and training.

The Pasco Fire Department will respond to confined space rescue emergencies within the auto/mutual aid response areas of the greater Tri-Cities and provide technical support for the search and/or rescue of victims as deemed appropriate for the incident and capabilities of the responders.
