Accident Reports

State law requires the driver of any vehicle involved in an accident resulting in injury to or death of any person, or damage to the property of any one person equal to or greater than $750, to report to the police within twenty four hours after the accident. If a Pasco Police Officer investigated an accident you were involved in, the officer will prepare a report, and you do not have to file a written report with the state. If you wish make out a report, or an officer did not investigate the accident, report forms may be obtained from any police agency. After 3 days a copy of the officer's report may be obtained at the Pasco Police Department located at 215 W Sylvester Street, or if you have the accident report number, you can download the report here. For persons involved in the accident there is no charge for a copy of the officer's report.
