Neighborhood Watch Program

How the Program Works

Neighborhood Watch Program Sign

A Neighborhood Watch group starts with a motivated individual, a few concerned residents, and law enforcement. An initial meeting is organized to discuss everyone's needs. Based on these needs, training on topics such as home security, ID theft, and reporting skills are provided to the group once a month.

Citizens learn to interact with their neighbors, and to recognize who belongs in their neighborhood and who does not. With citizens taking a proactive part in the security of their neighborhood they play a large part in reducing crime.
