Revamping Public Spaces in Pasco

Tuesday, May 14, 2024

The City of Pasco invites residents to a pivotal workshop on transforming the city’s public spaces. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, May 14, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Imbibe, 104 N 4th Ave. Entitled "Revamping Public Spaces in Pasco," this workshop offers residents an opportunity to help shape the future of the city’s public areas. Participants will explore new possibilities for mobile vendors and community gatherings, reflecting Pasco's commitment to vibrant and inclusive urban development.

Key Initiatives Include:

  • Food Truck Freedom: Proposed changes to City regulations could reduce restrictions on food trucks, paving the way for dynamic Food Truck Parks and more diverse culinary options throughout Pasco.
  • Sidewalk Cafe Expansion: The City plans to expand outdoor dining options across all commercial and mixed-use zones, enhancing the street dining experience with more sidewalk cafés and streeteries.
  • Dining Redefined: Experience a new wave of dining in Pasco with the introduction of parklets and designated zones for innovative street eateries. Residents are encouraged to attend the workshop to voice their visions and contribute ideas that will shape Pasco’s approach to public space utilization.

This event is part of the City’s ongoing efforts to ensure that public spaces not only meet the needs of the community but also enhance the quality of life for all. "Public spaces are the heartbeat of our community," said Jacob Gonzalez, Community & Economic Development Director. "This workshop represents a vital step in our journey to make Pasco an even more inviting and vibrant place to live."
